Contadora, one of the 90 islands of the archipelago is small but the most developed, attracted the Shah of Iran during his exile in 1979. This island has the best infrastructure and amenities, such as paved roads, airport (local scheduled airline and private), water, electricity, marina, hotels. But it is also very private, only the rich & famous own villas here enjoying its 10 beaches, game fishing, diving, golfing, sunbathing, gambling at the casino, partying.

The famous "Pearl Islands" in the emerald green pacific gulf of Panama in Central America was the host of the popular "Survivor" TV program.
